Movie Expenses

The movie prices are getting crazy. I went to the movies the other day and wanted a water. I was shocked that water really costs $4.00. It's bad enough that in school there like $1.25 but $4.00. Everything else was so expensive. Like $7 for popcorn. The movie alone is like $9 to get in. By the time I left the movies I had spent over $20. I realized that I could have waited, rented the movie, and enjoyed it from the comfort of my home with cheap snacks. Things these days are really getting very expensive.

  1. So true..the movie prices are getting crazy. It costs about 9$ to get in to the movie, let alone if you want to eat something because everyone is always hungry at the movies. I think that the prices for the snacks are ridiculous. At muvico it is like 6-8$ for a small or medium popcorn. However, eating all that popcorn makes you thirsty...well guess what, the soda costs like 5$ and three fourths of the cup is ice.

  2. The prices we pay for movie tickets really are getting out of hand. Personally, I think of going to the movies as a relaxing and stress free activity, but it's really not that relaxing when we end up spending 15 to 20 dollars to sit in a comfy chair for a couple of hours. I completely agree with what Dan said, movie theaters always seem to find some way to rip customers off. The movie ticket is expensive to begin with, and then you want some popcorn while sitting in the theater, which then makes you thirsty.
